What is Whiskey March?

Whiskey March is a pub crawl for geeks.
Since we're running this a few days before the awesome JSConf, which already has an impressive amount of beer and wiskey appreciation associated with it, this'll be a short stretch of just 5 bars.
That's not to say it will be any less a WhiskeyMarch - quality, not quantity :)

Despite the name, go with whatever works - beer, tequila, soda, vodka, water.

What's the plan?

Simple. 40 mins per bar, 5-10 mins in between each one.

  • 8:00 - Jolly Roger
  • 8:50 - Basement
  • 9:40 - Roadside Attraction
  • 10:30 - Green Dragon
  • 11:20 - Paddy's

You can join in at any point along the way!

Who's going?

These fine people are, all 12 of 'em! Stick your name down, eh?

*We swear we wont autotweet anything from your account!*

Why? Why!

Whiskey March stumbled into life following a spate of emails between some Funconfers in Dublin and San Francisco. Originally intended as a simple meetup, someone suggested some whiskey bars, and it went downhill from there.

The first WhiskeyMarch was on 29th October 2010.

Whiskey March is organised by Eamon Leonard of Orchestra.io, with help from Tom Preston-Werner of GitHub.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. Take it handy!
